Neil Nair
My name is Neil Nair, and I am a Grade 9 student at UWCSEA East. As an avid participant in Model United Nations (MUN), it should come as no surprise that I am fascinated by global politics and international affairs—with a strong emphasis on humanitarian crises, such as the Rohingya genocide. Having chaired my Middle School service centred around helping those in Myanmar, I feel passionately about the conflict and find the atrocities the Rohingya have to bear unconscionable. Throughout co-writing World in Pages editorials, I have broadened and deepened my understanding of complex issues and now hope to use it as a means of advocacy and spreading awareness.
